1907 $20 Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle MS66 PCGS
Struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1907, this Saint Gaudens Double Eagle comes sealed in a PCGS holder graded MS66. It is the flatter, low relief design with the date in Arabic numerals, from the year Augustus Saint-Gaudens's celebrated design first entered regular production.
The obverse shows Liberty striding forward with a torch and olive branch, the rays of the sun behind her and the date 1907 near the rock at lower right. The reverse features a flying eagle above a rising sun, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and TWENTY DOLLARS in arcs along the top. This is the No Motto type, so IN GOD WE TRUST does not appear.
